How does TriKeto 3BHB™ work?
TriKeto 3BHB™ works by helping your body create energy from Ketones for your brain, heart and muscles to sustain you throughout your day. Ketones are a very efficient source of energy for the body, and 3BHB provides three Ketones (BHB) per molecule to help produce an even more efficient energy (ATP) source for the body.
What is the difference between 3BHB and different types of Ketone products, like Ketone salts or Ketone Mono-Esters?
Ketone Esters and Ketone salts both provide exogenous Ketones to support the body’s transition into ketosis, but they differ in composition and effectiveness. 3BHB is a Tri-Ester form of a Ketone Ester molecule comprised of a glycerol backbone attached to 3 molecules of B-hydroxybutyrate (BHB). 3BHB is very efficient because one molecule of a Tri-Ester provides 3 molecules of BHB, unlike a Mono- or Di-Ester that delivers one or two BHBs. As for Ketone salts, they only modestly raise blood levels of BHB compared to Ketone Esters, and in order to achieve fasting levels of BHB in the blood, may require consuming excessive salt, which can lead to exceeding the daily recommended amounts that may lead to undesirable side effects.
When should I take TriKeto 3BHB™ products - before or after a meal?
You can take TriKeto 3BHB™ products before or after a meal, or without a meal. TriKeto 3BHB™ can be used to support a fasting state (without a meal), or it can be used to help support energy production and cognition in the body, with or without food. If it is taken before a meal, it can make you feel satiated, making you feel less hungry.
Can I take more than 1 packet of TriKeto Energy+™ , more than once per day?
For dietary supplement use, it’s safe to take 1-2 packets of TriKeto Energy+™ up to two times a day. TriKeto 3BHB™ has been safely studied at much higher doses (for Medical Food purposes up to 150 grams per day). Do not however, take that much TriKeto 3BHB™ without first consulting a healthcare practitioner. It is advised to titrate up to a higher dose, by starting with a lower dose initially.
How much TriKeto 3BHB™ is safe to take in one day?
TriKeto 3BHB™ has been reviewed by a panel of experts and has been determined to be GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe) as a Medical Food at a 150 grams per day and has had safety and toxicity studies completed. Do not however, take 150 grams per day of TriKeto 3BHB™ without first consulting a healthcare practitioner. For dietary supplement use, we recommend not exceeding taking 1-2 packets of TriKeto 3BHB™ up to two times a day.
Do I have to mix TriKeto 3BHB™ products with water or a beverage, or can I take it straight out of the packet?
Exogenous Ketones don’t taste great in general, so to optimize taste, it is suggested to mix TriKeto 3BHB™ products with water or one of your other favorite beverages such as juice, coffee, or carbonated water before consuming. Some folks, however, don’t mind the taste and consume it directly from the pouch. That is certainly not for everyone!
Can I add TriKeto 3BHB™ to other foods?
Yes, TriKeto 3BHB™ may be mixed into other foods or beverages, such as a smoothie or coffee, allowing for more varied options.
What sweeteners are used in TriKeto Energy+™?
TriKeto Energy+™ does not use artificial sweeteners, such as Aspartame and Sucralose. Instead, we specially blend Monk Fruit and Stevia extract as sweeteners for those looking for a more natural option.
Do TriKeto 3BHB™ products need to be refrigerated?
No, but refrigerating may help to improve the taste.
Is it normal for Ketone products to taste bitter?
